The mission of the National Hearing Test (NHT) is to provide a hearing screening test that will help people decide whether they should seek a full-scale hearing evaluation by a certified hearing professional.  Taking the NHT can be the first step on a path to getting help for hearing problems.  The NHT website provides information about the screening test and hearing loss, as well as resources for locating hearing professionals.

 

Information contained in this website is based on professional advice and expert opinion. Privacy Policy

 

The National Hearing Test (NHT) will not sell or otherwise distribute information generated through the NHT website.  All email addresses and contact information of those who communicate with us online are collected for the sole purposes of responding to specific questions, providing Access Codes, billing for taking the test, following up to determine whether full-scale evaluations and treatment were sought, and advising visitors of new online material.  The NIH grant that has supported the development and dissemination of the NHT requires that we contact some test takers (for research purposes) to learn whether the advice to seek further assessment has been followed.

 

We at the NHT are committed to preserving privacy and safeguarding credit card and other sensitive information.  We do not store sensitive information such as credit card numbers.  NHT information remains private and is never sold.
